PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

PGP – DIGITAL MARKETING

The PGP program in Digital Marketing is a 24 month online self paced program with 1st year of online training and 2nd year as full-time internship in digital marketing.

The PGP in Digital Marketing is a flagship program of Indian Institute of Ecommerce and it was launched in the year 2015. IIEC has trained and certified over 2000 students so far. Digital Marketers are a need of the time in the business world post covid-19 the demand of Digital Marketing Managers has increased and we are estimating that over 10 10 Lac Digital Marketing professionals will be required to manage Small and medium sized businesses in India alone. The program is 100% online and the jobs are also virtual/work from home as the e-commerce and edtech startups are willing to hire our students

Step 1: Course access by IIEC – 2 Months:

The students learn 15+ different tasks of digital marketing and get certificates in the 1st and 2nd month. There are 100 hours of on-demand video lectures through which the students get to know the fundamentals of digital marketing and E-Commerce.

Step 2: Assignment – 2 Months:

In the 3rd and 4th month the student will be working on storytelling which is must for a successful digital marketing campaign. In this period, we expect students to achieve a minimum of 100,000 views in a newly created social account (For example Quora.com, a question-answer site for learning purposes). The student attempts to write up to 100 answers and works on various digital marketing methodology in order to achieve the target in these first 30 days. Once the students achieve the target under the PGP program, the role of startup starts. If the students are unable to achieve the target, they need to wait to achieve the target and then only they will be given access to the next assignments.

Now the student has to do KYC to access the Start-up’s milestone-based assignments and internship which can lead to a full-time job. IIEC has no role during Start-up assignment and Start-up internship as a student is now working with Start-up and Start-up will evaluate and decide whether to hire the student or not.

Indian Institute of Ecommerce is a training institute and Start-up incubator. Job/placement assistance is complimentary support, not a compulsory service that IIEC provides the students so they can achieve their digital marketing campaign targets such as leads, traffic, and sales while they work at the Start-up virtually in order to become job-ready. IIEC is not responsible for non-performing students during their engagement with Start-ups during the assignment or internship.

Step 3: Practical Projects – 8 Months

In this phase, the PGP – Digital Marketing student is given the opportunity to work on practical projects for the next 8 months to gain hands-on practical knowledge by managing digital marketing tasks for better understanding of various social and search channels and to become efficient with the technologies. The assignments are fun, entertaining, yet challenging for some as it is a performance-based task. In the 32-week project, we expect the student to achieve milestones and desired results. If the student is unable to achieve the student will have to wait for the results to get them to access the next step. During the assignment period, the student is given an independent domain for digital marketing where the student will be responsible for traffic, leads and sales generation.

Step 4: Digital Marketing Internship – 12 Months:

Once the student has successfully learned the practical skills during the assignment, he is given the opportunity to access a 12-month performance-based internship program which may be paid or unpaid based on the performance of the student. Every digital marketing student works on E-Commerce or Ed-Tech product sales campaign management and the student’s primary task is to generate traffic, leads and sales which can either be a physical good or digital goods decided by the company.

Step 5: Placement Assistance:

Post successful completion of all the above steps, the digital marketing students may be given the opportunity to work for IIEC Incubated e-commerce/Ed-Tech start-ups if they have displayed satisfactory performance in the assignment and internship period as per the evaluation criteria set up by the Start-ups during the internship period.

Job Assistance Terms: In certain conditions, if a student is unable to achieve results even after completion of the 24-month program, in that case, IIEC does not guarantee a job due to the student’s performance issue, and any claims over the program’s expected results will be disclaimed. The student agrees that just by joining IIEC’s PGP – Digital Marketing program the student will not be hired for a full-time job since it purely depends on the student’s performance, knowledge, skills, and efforts. In case, if the student is still unable to comply with the required set of skills even then IIEC’s job assistance terms and conditions shall become null and void and IIEC and IIEC’s partners will not be responsible for job assistance for the student henceforth and no refund will be provided in any circumstances. However, IIEC will be glad to provide such students lifetime course access, updates & support at no additional cost.

1:1 Support: To make the program more interactive, every student gets one-on-one attention from an online support trainer who evaluates the students’ performance and guides them with ideas in order to make them successful. However, the student’s own skills and performance play an important role in their success. Indian Institute of Ecommerce is a training institute and a Start-up incubator. Job support is complimentary support, not a compulsory service that IIEC provides the students so that IIEC’s PGP – Digital Marketing students can achieve their digital marketing campaign targets such as leads, traffic and sales for the start-up store while they work at the start-up virtually in order to become job ready. IIEC is not responsible for non-performing students during their engagement with start-up assignments or internships. However, IIEC continues to provide the 1:1 support via student support email ID, and if needed we schedule zoom video calls, phone calls, 1:1 chat with students in IIEC’s student-specific WhatsApp group to give ongoing support to the student during the entire 11-month program.

PGP – Digital Marketing is a course to provide skills on digital marketing so you can generate leads, traffic, and online sales for an start-up incubated by the Indian Institute of e-commerce. Post completion of the certification program you will be working for six months on a real-time client project in a paid or unpaid internship. Your stipend or job placement is purely dependent on the performance during the whole program. Indian Institute of e-commerce will not be responsible if you are not eligible to get a job due to your performance issue, skill sets, your bad behaviour, unprofessional attitude during the program, or questioning the IIEC team on false information. If a student indulges in any such inappropriate activity, we reserve all the rights to reject the candidature of such student without prior notice and no refund will be provided to the student in such cases.
